Benchmark Capital has secured a new 3,609 sqm development site in Lane Cove, expanding its growing residential investment pipeline across Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

The acquisition reflects Benchmark’s focus on identifying development opportunities in established, tightly held locations supported by strong underlying demand, access to amenity and constrained future housing supply.

Lane Cove was recently recognised as Australia’s most liveable community in the 2025 Australian Liveability Census and continues to benefit from its proximity to the Sydney CBD and Macquarie Park, established village amenity, schools, transport connections and extensive green space.

Located close to Lane Cove Village and The Canopy dining and retail precinct, the site is intended to accommodate a thoughtfully considered residential apartment project targeted primarily towards the owner-occupier market.

The project will be delivered in partnership with FYVE and represents another opportunity for Benchmark to invest in a location where scarcity of suitable development sites and sustained demand for quality new housing underpin the long-term investment thesis.

Fawaz Sankari, CEO of Benchmark Capital, said:

“Our approach starts with the fundamentals of the location. Lane Cove is an established, highly desirable market where new housing supply is constrained and demand has remained resilient. Opportunities of this scale are difficult to secure, which is exactly what makes this acquisition compelling for us and our investors.”

Further project details will be announced as planning and design progress.
